Council of Chief Mechanics-2025

From November 26 to November 27, AGV participated in the Council of Chief Mechanics of Oil and Gas Processing and Petrochemical Enterprises in Russia and the CIS countries. Every year, the Council of Chief Mechanics serves as an effective platform for the exchange of professional experience between enterprises in the field of operation, technical condition control and repair of equipment. This year, the event attracted about 500 participants, setting a new attendance record. Such high interest is due to the desire of companies not only for professional development, but also to find new business partners. One of the key topics of discussion was the optimization of equipment operation: the forum participants focused on minimizing downtime and reducing costs at all stages of the equipment lifecycle. This is especially true in the context of a slowdown in economic growth in Russia in 2025. Representatives of companies from China and India showed interest in organizing production facilities in our country, which indicates the effectiveness of AGV’s chosen strategy for localization of production in the Russian Federation. During the event, Artyom Terentyev, Key Account Manager and technical expert at AGV, presented a report on «Design features of key components of reciprocating compressors» and described in detail: — the reasons for the failure of reciprocating compressors; — the effect of oil and moisture in the pumped gas on the operation of valves; — about the design features of compressor rods according to API 618 standard; — about AGV’s current practice and accumulated experience in selecting design solutions to extend the service life of equipment.
