Piston Ring Upgrade for Hydrogen Compressor

Customer’s problem:
The OEM rings used by the Customer were made of glass-filled PTFE and required replacement every 3,500 hours before reaching the planned VOLUME of 4000.

Applicable requirements:
To increase the service life of piston and support rings up to 4000 mash.hours without failures due to the fault of the manufacturer;

The proposed solution:
It was proposed to replace the rings on the hydrogen production unit with AGV rings made of Plastic 7000, as this material provides exceptional durability when exposed to air, methane, propane, liquefied natural gas, and dry gases.
