Valve Reliability with Minimal Downtime

Customer’s problem:
The need to import-substitute components for foreign compressors, providing a level of reliability comparable to the original products.

The requirements imposed:
Preservation of MRP 4000 mach.hours and no failures due to the manufacturer;
Confirmation of the capacity of the prototypes of compressor valves, providing the performance of the installation no less than when using the original AJAX valves;
Confirmation of the possibility of cleaning and further operation of the valves during the scheduled maintenance of the compressor unit (upon reaching 4000 mach.operating hours);
Reduction of valve revision time on the AJAX DPC 2802 LE compressor unit (less than 3 hours).

The proposed solution:
Carrying out measurements of original valves using high-precision measurement and reverse engineering, calculation of gas-dynamic valve parameters to select the optimal valve design.

The result obtained:
No unplanned shutdowns of compressor units have been recorded due to the failure of the suction or discharge valves.
The operating time of each compressor unit with installed valves manufactured by AGV is at least 20,000 mash.hours.
Reducing the valve revision time to <3 hours.
